Sochiata is Senior Asset Manager for Community Housing Works (CHW) overseeing the physical plant and minor rehabilitation of 1,069 apartments. Her responsibilities include creating construction budgets, reviewing contracts, preparing construction schedules and overseeing project completion. Scochiata was previously a Project Manager responsible for planning, developing and implementing all aspects of project development of affordable housing projects from acquisition through construction and occupancy including feasibility, planning, entitlements, design, construction budgets, financing, and supporting the agency’s housing advocacy and policy agendas. She began her career with CHW as a Housing and Real Estate Intern.
Sochiata holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration and Urban Studies from San Diego State University. She has also completed several professional development programs including NeighborWorks America’s Project Feasibility Analysis, Design and Development for Project Managers, and Design and Review for Project Managers; Local Initiatives Support Corporation’s California Statewide Affordable Housing Development Training Institute; Build It Green’s Certified Green Building Professional Training and the California Coalition for Rural Housing Internship Program for Diversity in Nonprofit Housing and Community Development. She is also an Advisory Committee Member for the California Coalition Rural Housing Internship program.
